Room design with wedi walls is easier and faster than traditionally bricking walls with aerated concrete. The basic material, rigid polystyrene foam, is very light, which makes it easier to handle on the construction site. Even the largest building board from wedi (length: 2600 mm, width 1200 mm) can be carried alone without any problems. Professional gluing with the adhesive and sealant wedi 610 is sufficient for assembly, which reduces the material requirement by approx. 65%. There is less dust and dirt, and processing and drying times are significantly reduced. While a traditionally brick wall can only be tiled after five days, this can be done the next day with wedi walls. The decisive advantage: The wedi walls are not only structural elements that provide the same stability with less weight, they are also part of the wedi sealing system. The processor does not have to seal the wall additionally. This also means that interfaces between the trades are reduced. In addition, the required technology can be integrated into the wall at the factory if required. The wall module is then delivered ready for installation with the recesses for lines, pipes, fittings and heating technology. The wedi wall elements are used as wall cladding to seal and level existing walls, as shower walls or free-standing walls.
