Sozius Mittelstand Invest GmbH has announced the acquisition of Kühne Pool & Wellness AG. The founder Sven Kühne remains unchanged in the day-to-day business. With the acquisition, Sozius remains true to its platform concept and complements the Spa division, in which the pool builder will cooperate in the future with Hermann Gerloff & Söhne GmbH und Co. KG, a manufacturer of premium bathrooms. Since 2001, Kühne has been synonymous with top-class swimming pools and wellness facilities and has been responsible, for example, for prestigious properties such as the Waldorf Astoria in Berlin and the Fontenay in Hamburg. “In Sozius, we have found a strong partner who will ensure the succession and thus the permanence of the company and provide us with tailwind for our growth strategy,” comments founder and CEO Sven Kühne. The team of currently 40 employees is to be strengthened for this purpose. The aim is to meet complex customer requirements in pool construction and round them off with other offerings such as whirlpools, saunas, outdoor kitchens and bathroom systems from Hermann Gerloff. With the spa platform, Sozius aims to become the central point of contact in the premium segment for hotels and private customers in the coming years.
