50th company anniversary

The family company Kannewischer, which is well-known in the pool industry, celebrated on February 1, 2022 its 50th anniversary. The Swiss family company specializes in consulting, planning and operation of pool and wellness facilities. It was founded in Zug in 1972 by Bernd Kannewischer and has been in use for 15 years 2nd generation from his sons Jürgen and Dr. Stefan Kannewischer (on the right in the picture). Over 300 pool projects of all kinds and 110 business studies have been realized over the years. The Kannewischer Collection, which belongs to the group, operates six thermal baths and two thermal bath hotels. With around 750 employees, Kannewischer Holding today stands on the three pillars of consulting, technical planning and the operation of public pools. Sustainability aspects have been at the center of corporate activity for decades. As early as 1980, Bernd Kannewischer received an award for the rational use of energy in Germany. For decades, Kannewischer has been working on technology with heat recovery, combined heat and power plants and solar energy (for outdoor pools). Other examples are the switch to CO2-neutral electricity, the increased use of photovoltaic systems, the use of LED lighting and much more. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, the company donated 410 trees in Germany – one tree for every project that could be implemented in planning and consulting.
